St. Kitts and Nevis is honoured to mark 50 years of Rotary on the island by hosting the District 7030 Conference in April 2020. In so doing we continue a strong record of hosting Rotary Conferences which goes back to 1973 when The Rotary Club of St. Kitts, founded in 1969, brought together 350 Rotarians, Partners in Service and representatives of Rotary International in the Conference of Non Districted Rotary Clubs in the Caribbean. This conference was aimed at convincing Rotary International that it was time for a Caribbean Rotary District. That aim was achieved with the creation in 1974 of District 404 stretching from the Bahamas in the north to Guyana in the south. Click here to read full message!
Each year, districts are asked to hold a conference for club members so they can learn about what’s happening in Rotary and their district and meet other Rotarians in the area. The purpose of the District Conference 2020 is to engage members at all levels, from the most-senior leaders to the newest club members. Over the 4-day period from April 22-25, 2020, hundreds of Rotarians will converge on St. Kitts and Nevis to:
• Engage in the President Elect Training Seminar (PETS),
• Discuss projects and exchange ideas at the General Assembly and Conference, and
• Enjoy memorable fellowship experiences.
